New Music: Holy Other

Spooky producer Holy Other has a number of remarkable tracks to his name thus far — namely, “Yr Love” and his remix of HTDW’s “Take It On.” Here’s a new cut of his, in typical slow-as-molasses & haunting fashion, “Touch.” It can be found on his debut EP with fitting BK label Tri-Angle Records, to be released on June 6.

New Music: Justice

I had to resist the temptation to post this track as featured in this Adidas commercial. The wait turned out to be worth it. Here’s a full version of the first Justice track since 2007, “Civilization.”

New Music: Hodgy Beats

This new track from Odd Future cog Hodgy Beats features a prominent Moody Blues sample, is wayyy too short, was produced by Bambeeno, and apparently took all of 10 minutes. It’s called “Mystery.”

New Music: Panda Bear

Noah Lennox’s (aka Animal Collective member Panda Bear) Tomboy, the follow up to 2007’s Person Pitch, is one of the most anticipated albums due in 2011. Most the the tracks will be familiar to those who have been following Lennox’s vinyl single releases and/or live shows. This new track, “Surfer’s Hymn”, is the last in the vinyl singles series leading up to the album’s release. As is the case with previous tracks that are being released as both singles and included on the album, this is Lennox’s own mixing job and will likely sound distinct from the version included on the album. In addition, check out a remix of “Surfer’s Hymn” done by UK dance producer Actress. Last but not least, find another Panda track that Lennox did to coincide with the release of some sneakers he and the other Animal Collective members designed. That one’s called “The Preakness.”

New Music: Burial

The most mysterious man in electronic music is back with solo material. It’s been 4 long years since Untrue changed the game, birthed a genre, and basically just blew everyone’s mind. Last week I posted Burial’s collaboration with Four Tet and Thom Yorke, and this week, Burial himself released 3 new tracks on a 12” vinyl, sharing the same name with the side a, Street Halo. Check out a vinyl rip of that track below and/or purchase a copy of the vinyl for yourself here.
